Dumped the First Time

Share

I already knew I was going to be dumped by what was my girlfriend at the time. Though didn't say much as we walked on as we did once in awhile. As the walk carried on, she didn't mention anything about dumping me or about our relationship at all, though I knew she was struggling to get out some words just any words.

I helped her by saying something like "So about our relationship..." and that got her started on talking about that we needed to break up. I totally agreed with her and she was remarkably surprised, as she figured it would end up in a fight or something, though we never had a fight with one another.

I really don’t know what else to say, it was a quick and painless break-up. She was quite saddened for breaking up with me, due to reasons I rather not explain in here. As I was in pain for having to break up with her, I still wish I was with her however complications have arrived and at this point I cant be even if she does feel the same towards me as I do towards her.

After this break up session, I walked her back home, went on my way to my house, and went straight to bed without waking (except the odd bathroom break) for a couple of days until I went back to work. I’m still to this day heartbroken by it but will never give up trying to win her over.

She was my first and only girlfriend to this day, and I rather not change that for the world. I screwed up, screwed up harshly and lost her, I was without her (not seeing her) for nearly 2 years, our friendship after the break up was non existent for over six months, it was hard on both of us for sure.

My learning experience with this for anyone who has read this, and is in or going to be in a relationship is: communication is key. It’s the one thing my relationship didn’t have much of, we were both too shy to talk, more so with me, it was truly my fault that we broke up. Other than that, just spend the time with her (or him) like its your last, enjoy the time you have and don’t let it go to waste, appreciate the joys of life when you are with that special person.
